This Is What It Looks Like When A Fireball Meteor Explodes On Entry

Photographer Ken Scott captured amazing video footage Wednesday night of something few people have ever seen before – a fireball meteor exploding as it entered the Earth’s atmosphere!

The American Meteor Society has reports of 4 separate fireball events from Wednesday night. Sightings occurred throughout the eastern United States: in Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Georgia, and Florida.

The heatwave from the exploding fireball meteors spread across several states, as shown in the picture below Ken’s video. Also included are additional close-up photos of the meteor.
