Is This The Lost Video Of Mitt Romney’s Dog Riding On The Roof Of His Car?

During his 2008 and 2012 campaigns for President, Mitt Romney was criticized for his treatment of the family dog, Seamus, during a 650 mile road trip. If you were in a coma the last 6 years and haven’t heard the story, it goes as follows:

On a summer trip in 1983, the 36 year old Romney and his family set off on a 12-hour road trip from Boston to their lake cabin, just outside Ontario, Canada. But instead of sitting their beloved family dog on the seat next to the kids, he decided it would be a good idea to keep Seamus inside a dog carrier, strap it to the roof of their vehicle, and haul ass down the highway with the dog on top of the car. It wasn’t long before the dog got sick, so the Romney’s stopped at a gas station to clean off their dog and car, then proceeded back on the highway …again with the dog on top of the car.

The video below isn’t actually of Mitt Romney or his dog, but it does go to show that there is more than one idiot in the world that thinks it’s acceptable to have a dog ride on top of your car. It is not. Ever.
