WOW! This Really Weird Thing Happens When Coins Touch Dry Ice

When a coin is pushed into dry ice, the heat from the metal coin creates sublimation in the -109 degrees Fahrenheit, dry ice. Sublimation is the process of turning a solid (the dry ice in this instance) into a gas.

So basically, instead of the dry ice melting into a liquid, like water-based ice, it turns into gas. And when it does, the escaping gas causes the coin to rapidly shake back and forth; it even sounds like the dry ice screams when the coin is pushed in! Check it out for yourself in the video below.
